David Drake - President
David Drake studied International Marketing at American Univeristy in Washington DC and got a Masters of International Affairs in International Law and Economics and an MBA in International Business and Finance at George Washington University in Washington DC in 1996. He spent a few years on Wall Street in Institutional Sales for Alfred Berg both in NYC and Stockolm, Sweden. In 1997 he joined DJ Knight Realty in NYC and worked with commercial real estate where he sold buildings, leased offices and stores with focus on Madison Avenue and Soho. His exposure to residential rentals and condo and co-op sales was extensive during this period. In 1999 he joined Prudential MLBKaye Realty on Fifth Avenue as a Senior Director and focused on building sales and retail leasing. 2000 he joined the dot com craze at ScreamingMedia - an online content solution firm and by the end of the year 2000 he became the President at Drake Life aka Subletinthecity.com. David brings to the firm 7 different languages, technology innovation, start up visions and experience of every kind of real estate transaction.

We are continually working with firms such as Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Chase, Merrill Lynch, Ernst & Young, Anderson Consulting, McKinsey Consulting as well as schools such as Harvard University, Wharton School of Business and NYU. As for our close relationship with New York University we pride on being referred as the only agency to work with NYU Off Campus Housing since 1995. Our services cover all short-term and long-term furnished housing solutions in Manhattan.
